We identify and strive for the sustainable management of natural assets as a paradigm that satisfies people’s needs, respects the right to food, protects the indivisibility and completeness of life, and encourages communities’ resilience around economic, political, climatic, and environmental risks. Natural resources should be preserved and enhanced as common goods, including for future generations, by fostering biodiversity, with the communities as essential actors in its care.
